Grail" of underground mine constructions: 2 Ply
400 1/8" X 1/16" Mine Star, under 30 CFR
Part 14. Approval # for this revision is "14-CBA110014-MSHA"
and encompasses min. top cover thickness of 1/8"-1/2"
max. & min. 1/16"-3/8" for bottom cover
on 2, 3, 4, & 5 ply constructions. What this means
is that we now have the full range of underground
constructions to meet & compliment our industry.
*This spec. has been "elusive" for a number
of reasons as a careful balance has to be met both
formulation wise & against belt guage to fully
self extinguish and pass final inspection. Call the

begins commercial production
of its new Underground Coal Belt "Mine Star".
American made & made to width, "Mine Star"
was recently approved by MSHA under 30 C.F.R. Part
14 for 4 ply constructed flame resistant conveyor
belt. Testing continues with other popular constructions
and will be ready for submittal by week's end. "Mine
Star" is a flame resistant, self extinguishing
compound that emits very low smoke which is extremely
important for air passageways and other safety concerns.
