Hot Material Belts are offered in several different compounds, each with a claim of doing something extraordinary. We too have made various belts that should have done wondrous things, but always, we have returned to this all-Chlorobutyl compound to handle temperatures not manageable by other elastomers. Special fabric treatments are necessary to gain adequate adhesions, but it is well worth the trouble.

This belt is made in any carcass weight up to 72" wide, with cut and cemented edges. It is suitable for both conveyors and elevators. Chlorobutyl will handle temperatures that approach the melting point of the fabrics. Slow to oxidize, this is the finest over-all compound we know for these severe applications.
